Wounded Bird 03:43
Wounded Bird-- Wounded bird/I just fell out of Lonely Tree/broke my wing, I flap it for the world to see/call your name in hope that you will rescue me/though I fear you'll just put me out my misery/Standing over me your shadow blocks out all the sun/and in these lonely woods I fear I'm not the only one/no cliche', exactly how the cage bird sings/don't need a gilded jail, 'cause I've broken my own wing/Mother Bird, upon the ground her wing she'll lay/and dance around to keep her kids from being prey/my wound's not fake, although I could just hop away/my whole intent is only just for you to stay
2.
Silent Partner-- I try to get your attention/you say there is no need/with your belief in me in suspension/oh, it is the cause of my grief, all-around/but, oh, your voice is the only sound/Hit by weapons of self-deception, so I won't (please don't) phone the police/Yeah, I'd be your scapegoat in a second/only you wouldn't get me released, not at all/no, on (for) me you wouldn't waste the call/Saturday night I'm happily deceived/marginalized and isolated, it's lonely but I know that it feels right/I'm your silent partner/Locked in your private session, with (Mr.) I-don't-care-who-he-is, no/I'm pounding on your door now, and the cops say to cease and desist, hit the ground/But oh, your voice is the only sound
3.
Resuscitate 03:40
Resuscitate-- When I open my eyes I see yours are still closed/your body it barely stirs and your breathing's so low/will we get to talk again? You know I can't say/with the sound of sirens and the lights of angels coming our way/ What I would say is, we've had our fun/but the time for that's long over and done/though there's feelings here that I've just discovered/we've had the kind of fun from which we may never recover/I want you to wake up/I know you came from such a dark place/I tried to match my darkness to yours/but while these blackouts brought me into the light/somehow they've thrown you off course
4.
Murder 02:28
Murder--How could you leave? it suited me fine/Wrapped in your hands but harder to find/you'll never know how I justify/yesterday, and, never mind/so sad how you used all my thoughts and words just like murder/some say so what? Left without reason and always give up/Trains at the station my head is so low/letters they cripple make thought slowly go/try to remember when (what) I last felt
5.
Misplaced 02:27
Misplaced-- I'm skimming out smooth stones from the ocean shore again/and picking up spare change in sea towns where I knew you/But I can feel it/in places I still hear it/but I don't see you, 'cause I don't believe anymore/You caught me playing by myself, picking up the things I left/and traffic's like a forest every time I try to leave/but you've gone too far
6.
Uke and Eye 04:13
Uke and Eye-- STRAT-O-UKE!
7.
Maladies 02:37
Maladies-- Taking time to get rest/get to go, and get to bed/Why can't I forget this? Needing an ambulance/Growing(?) more, understanding less, becoming just blood and flesh/Vision gets blurry/can't feel my hands/fever's not breaking/vision gets blurry, yeah!
8.
Stray Rayz 09:26
Stray Rayz-- With everything under the sun/and everything's already done/we've still got a few stray rays/to keep us warm and let us play/With everything already said/you think that our tongues would lie dead/say there's no original thought/well they'll (there's) steal (still) things here now that just can't be bought/I was walking down the street/'round the corner 'round the bend/then I saw your stupid grin/I knew you had to be my friend
